Product Director – Flight Booking Funnel

Our Product team is looking for an analytical, data-driven, commercial and creative Product Director to lead the product team for our flight booking funnel. You will leverage your strategic acumen and entrepreneurial spirit to deliver a customer experience that is not only enjoyable but unforgettable, fostering loyalty and amplifying customer engagement. This role reports to our Chief Product Officer and is responsible for leading a team of approx. 10 Product Managers. In this role, you will collaborate with business experts, highly skilled engineers, product designers and product managers – within and outside of the business line.

As a key leader on the product team, you will need to be an experienced and effective people manager, capable of providing guidance, feedback and direction to an energetic team of product managers and pods. The position requires liaising effectively with stakeholders across various lines of business and levels. The ideal candidate therefore needs to be a practised negotiator and a creative problem solver, capable of building consensus across a large organisation. In order to have maximum impact,  you need to have a data-driven approach to product development, strong communication skills and an unerring sense of prioritisation responding to tight deadlines. 

Responsibilities
Drive the product strategy for new and existing products delivering best-in-class customer experience and driving business value
Identify new opportunities and collaborate with stakeholders to elaborate creatively  mutually beneficial solutions to business and consumer necessities
Develop and lead a team of product managers
Build/support the creation of business cases to promote new initiatives as well as prioritising the roadmap for the next set of products and feature enhancements
Lead cross-functional teams to conceive and develop new product concepts, establish development milestones, and manage the development, implementation and subsequent rollouts
Manage multiple projects  without losing sight of the ‘big picture’

Skills And Requirements
7+ years of relevant work experience in product development, ideally in a competitive e-commerce environment and experience in developing and leading a team of Product Managers
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a demonstrated ability to use numbers and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes
Strong business acumen and P&L understanding. previous P&L management and ownership experience is a plus
Experience in the digital retailing space; experience with digital customer servicing products and in the  mobile apps environment is a strong plus
Great team player with respect for others, yet able to work independently 
Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a high performing team
Proven excellence as an individual contributor in a Product Management role with a demonstrated ability to drive high-impact initiatives delivering meaningful business results
Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong bias for action
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting across all levels of the organisation and with external partners
