Our Creative Design department is one of the largest in Spain, and we’re continuing to grow. We’re made up of a diverse team of more than 30 visual designers from different backgrounds including UX designers, UX researchers, UX data analysts, and video producers. We’re a fun-loving team that is passionate about all things design – from continuous learning, knowledge sharing, innovation to best-in-class user experiences. We even have our very own UX lab where we apply a customer focused and data-oriented approach to our overall process.

We’re looking for a highly creative and motivated Jr. Visual Designer with digital design experience and a customer-oriented approach. The ideal candidate thrives solving complex visual design problems with inventive solutions that are both aesthetically and functionally effective. A successful candidate will always begin with a “customer first” approach, understanding that your design thinking is critical to creating a successful, consistent customer experience.

As Visual Designer, you’ll help evolve the brand and create attractive and engaging visual design solutions to reach customers across web, mobile and print, in more than 46 countries for 5 different brands (Opodo, eDreams, Go Voyages, Travellink and Liligo). You’ll also work closely with other visual designers, marketing and product teams to create and bring ideas to life helping to drive new business.

What you will do:

  • Execute top-quality and cutting-edge visual design work for a digital platform
  • Create on-brand design solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements
  • Manage multiple requests from various internal teams on projects of varying length and complexity
  • Establish, execute, and govern a consistent visual design language
  • Work closely with Creative Design team manager, visual designers, stakeholders and copywriters to implement a cohesive visual branding
  • Understand and respond to performance data (metric tests, usability studies), and steer the direction of future creative designs
  • Present and defend visual design solutions to team owners
  • Stay connected to the larger UX team by sharing and applying knowledge
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality and consistency of both your peers and your own visual design output

About you:

  • Prior experience in an agency or media environment creating advertisements for global brands
  • 2+ years of experience as a visual designer in a digital environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent professional experience
  • A remarkable online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating visual branding, online marketing, and great user-centered design solutions
  • Advanced in industry standard visual design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator,…) and Sketch
  • Stays connected to visual design and technology trends, shares knowledge with team
  • An obsession with great design campaigns and media content
  • A willingness to go the extra mile to create something special
  • Stakeholder management with the ability to gather and clarify business requirements, turning them into exceptional customer-focused world-class designs
  • Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail
  • Good in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process
  • Process oriented independent thinker who proactively identifies areas for improvement
  • English speaker with good written, verbal, and presentation abilities
  • Team player with a positive / proactive attitude and sense of humor
  • A background in branding, advertising or marketing
  • Master’s degree in design
  • Html5 knowledge
  • Illustration abilities with experience designing infographics and data visualisations
  • Experienced in producing motion graphics or animation
