The Content Design team sits within the Product area, working within a multidisciplinary team of Product Designers, UX Researchers, UX Engineers and for a large number of stakeholders around the business, primarily Legal, but also CRM and Marketing. We are undergoing huge growth at present and are building a tight-knit group of passionate content experts to deliver top-quality content to the entire business. We work mostly remotely, but meet up from time to time in our beautiful offices in Barcelona centre. This position would be to join our team of content writers, both writing content and managing CMS (Content Management System) tasks.
The role of Associate UX Writer will first and foremost be to assist the Content Team in writing product-focused content. This candidate will also be the “gatekeeper” of our Content Management platforms, understanding the workflows, processes and inner workings of our legacy and commercial tools, to help make sure content goes live in a timely manner.
You’ll help our Data Protection, legal team and other major stakeholders to manage their content needs, extracting, modifying and migrating content such as Terms & Conditions or policies, identifying issues and solving them on a day-to-day basis.
You will be onboarded alongside the rest of the Content Team in the workings of a new commercial tool and guide the team through the move from our legacy model to the new one, liaising with engineers working behind the scenes in this area to understand and be able to impart this knowledge to the Content Team. You will propose improvements and assist with content-related bugs or “glitches” that block projects. You will work closely with ContentStack and our translation vendor, SDL, to ensure processes are running smoothly from end to end.
About you:
- You’re an English-native, Marketing or UX writer that is about to start your career in UX Writing or has 1 to 2 years of experience in the bag.
- You will be eager to learn to work with CMS platforms, whether internal or commercial, to edit and upload content.
- You know the importance of creating clear flows and consistent experiences while making sure that all user interactions – across all platforms – are initiated with the same tone of voice.
- You like working alongside Product Designers and are fully embedded within the design process in order to provide value
- You’ll be used to adapting your content to achieve a specific goal, often with tight character limitations. Your command of the English language will allow you to create quality content that gets results.
- Used to working to tight deadlines and managing expectations with timely deliveries of content tasks
What you will be doing:
- Liaise with the legal team (and other stakeholders) to manage content stored in the CMS and Web Master Pages (no programming required).
- You will help stakeholders, particularly the legal team, to increase the consistency and quality of the experiences they deliver.
- You’ll be involved in projects from start to finish, bringing your expertise to ideation, creation and implementation phases.
- Great content design work, shipped quickly.
- Crafting outstanding user interface copy that helps our customers succeed in their goals.
- Creating simple, elegant solutions to complex content and information architecture problems.
- Working alongside other English UX Writers (reporting to the Head of Content Design) to create content design standards, frameworks, and a style guide to help us scale.
- Working with product designers, UX Researchers, developers and business owners to define and deliver the best experience for travellers.
- Explore and refine concepts and narrow them to the best solution quickly, without losing time and effort.
