We are looking for a  Global Airline Key Account Manager to join our team based in Barcelona.

Role and Responsibilities

Leading and improving the global relationship with all assigned carriers and rail partners as well as following the mission and vision:

Vision: Become the highest evaluated OTA worldwide by the airlines

Mission:

  1. Create the best relationship with the airlines
  2. Negotiate the best contracts and exclusive content
  3. Create value for your partners and establish eDO’s value recognition
  • Air Supplier project management based on action tracker for optimization requests
  • Representation of the company at relevant and productive airline and industry event
  • Creation and establishing of value proposals based on Retail, Business- and Data Intelligence
  • Permanent Sales performance monitoring and optimization based on volume, revenues and contract values
  • Creation of the yearly incentive and marketing fund budget for the assigned carrier
  • Revenues Budget control also on joint objective for the assigned carrier
  • Protection of content/inventory (plate, connectivity, systems)
  • Creation of gap closing measures
  • Jira control and fulfillment follow-up on all Air Supply/HoA related issues
  • Frequent face2face airline meetings
  • Creation of partner business plans for all assigned carrier
  • Lead and anticipate performance KPI’s, opportunity leads, share potentials
  • Guarantee to negotiate the best commercial contracts
  • Guarantee to be top of mind regarding own presence on top level airline events as well as to support top level relationship for Director Airline Relations and Chief Air Supplier Officer depending scope of the events
  • Avoidance and resolution of relationship conflicts (legal)
  • Cover all necessary topics to guarantee the best relation and airline performance
  • Create highest value recognition within all relevant airline contact levels
  • Negotiate the best and exclusive fares
  • Manage to have regular joint press releases with airlines
  • Avoid ADM’s by negotiating waiver & favor funds and negotiate ADM refunds if not existent
  • Prepare and present frequently all airline related relevant news and issues
  • Prepare and present frequently the airline contract performance vs. budget and related measures
  • Provide relevant exclusive information and insights of our airline partners for internal distribution
  • Manage to deliver always on time
  • Communicate frequently and efficient all related topics to the Line Manager

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Experience in the airline business, especially in sales and revenue management, large contact network in global aviation industry

 

  • Studies in Business, Tourism or Aviation industry
  • Several years of experience in the aviation industry
  • High level of sales skills
  • Experience in online sales
  • Experience in airline pricing
  • Experience in airline revenue management
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in/with online/offline travel agent industry
  • Experience in/with airline sales support and marketing concepts

Highly proactive, creative and analytical orientation. Hands-on manager with abilities to present and represent

  • A very strong can-do attitude
  • Highest delivery quality and commitment
  • very good MS – Office skills (especially advanced Excel knowledge on professional level, powerpoint)
  • experience with Amadeus GDS; MIDT, Salesforce
  • experience in creation and evaluation of complex business cases
  • very good English language skills, other languages as French, Nordic Languages, Spanish, German will be positively evaluated
